Visiting Baltimore is challenging too, but Denver have it more difficult in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to play twice, the Chargers (who might also compete for first place but face the same problem) and also the Packers on the fixture list

The Indianapolis also face the Kansas City, and have the Seattle, 49ers and two games with the 5-4 Jaguars to contend with. There's a long way to travel but the door is open for a surprise top seed in the AFC

Both squads with solid claims to be better than all of the three eight and two sides are NFC West rivals the Seahawks and Rams, who each put up 40 burgers to reach seven and two ahead of next week's major meeting between the two in Los Angeles

Both have won four in a consecutive games, have signal callers in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defensive units allowing fewer than twenty points a game

Each could realistically be undefeated as too - especially the Los Angeles as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a potentially winning kick with the final play blocked and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown

Seattle were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in week one, before falling to the last kick of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are truly two of the top teams in the league

The next matchup on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season to date
