Ex- Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Involving 38 Individuals in His Care

Prosecutors have announced that a former doctor stands accused of performing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.

Details of the Grave Allegations

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021.

A senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

The Police Inquiry

The charges come after what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Breakdown of Charges

The charging documents said the 45 charges include:

• 15 counts of sexual assault.
• Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
• Nine counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
• 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
• 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
